Richard Powell

Richard is the founder and principal of Latchmoor Properties Ltd, promoting large mixed-use development projects in London, Edinburgh and Hampshire.

Richard was previously an Executive Director and Board member at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, where he was responsible for the £1.6bn investment and development activity outside Grosvenor’s London estate. Before this, he was Director of Planning & Development at Capital & Counties Properties Plc, responsible for originating and promoting the 77-acre Earls Court project. He was also a founding member of HM Treasury Taskforce in 1997, charged with structuring Public Private Partnerships to deliver better public services. 

Richard was a member of the Mayor of London’s Design Advisory Group and the New London Architecture Sounding Board, and has recently been asked to join the Chairman’s Guild of INTBAU, the International Network of Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism.

Richard is a Board member of Notting Hill Housing Trust and Notting Hill Home Ownership, and is also a member of the Development and New Business Committee. He receives an allowance of £7,500.
