Chobham Farm/New Garden Quarter
Formerly known as Chobham Farm, the New Garden Quarter development is set around a beautifully landscaped garden square and is just minutes away from Stratford International and Stratford Underground stations, Westfield shopping centre and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
At a glance
Chobham Farm had been an old railway site, which was then used as part of the parking provision for the 2012 Olympics. Notting Hill Housing and Telford Homes submitted a successful tender to London & Continental Railways in 2014 to acquire the site, which is now being developed via a joint venture between Notting Hill Genesis and Telford Homes, who are building the scheme. All of the private homes in phase 1 will be available for market rent via Folio, ensuring that the revenues are recycled to fund the provision of affordable housing.
- Architect: Pollard Thomas Edwards
