Carers UK membership – access free support now

Our residents with caring responsibilities can now access free digital resources and support.

Caring for a loved one who is ill, disabled, or older can be valuable and rewarding, but it can also have an impact on many aspects of your life, from health and wellbeing to finances.

To support this and help make caring a bit easier, we have become members of Carers UK, giving our staff and residents access to an online hub offering a range of resources and support.

The hub includes guides for carers on financial planning, understanding your rights, technology and caring, managing care more effectively and supporting health and wellbeing. It also provides access to the Carers UK online forum, giving the opportunity to share your own experiences and offer and receive peer support from other carers across the UK.

To access the hub, you need to create a free account by visiting carersdigital.org and adding in a unique access code. You can receive your unique access code by contacting your local officer who will be happy to provide this to you.

We do not receive information about the identities of colleagues or residents who have registered for the service. We will only be notified by Carers UK of the total number of individuals utilising the platform. As a result, the users of the service remain anonymous to us, should you choose to engage, and means you will be protected by Carers UK privacy and data policies.

Lastly as part of the membership, residents can also access the Carers UK care co-ordination app Jointly which usually costs £2.99 but is offered to you for free. Jointly is designed to make sharing care easier and more organised, invaluable where a carer is juggling work and care.

To take advantage of this offer and start using the app, residents who are carers just need to create their own account either by downloading the Jointly app or signing up through the Jointly website and using the same unique access code as above.

Don’t forget we have a range of other support services available to you as residents, please do check out our support services page for more information.
