Housing with flexible care and support

Our extra care housing provides residents with tailored care and support so they can live as independently as possible. This includes short term care for those leaving hospital. We also offer on-site facilities and flexible care packages to help customers continue to live in their own homes, even as their needs change.

All our services are focussed on helping older people maximise their independence and reduce, delay or prevent the need for residential care.

For more information about any of our extra care housing, please email nottinghillpathways@nhhg.org.uk.

To apply to live in extra care housing, please contact your local authority.

More about our extra care housing

  • Who is it for?

Extra care housing is mainly for older people, but not exclusively. Residents come to us through direct referrals from local authority social services teams.

  • What types of accommodation do we offer?

We generally offer self-contained one and two-bedroom flats within our buildings, although there are a few exceptions to this. Each flat has a living room, kitchen and shower room and is fitted with an alarm system, so residents can contact staff in an emergency.

  • What community facilities are available?

Residents have access to shared community facilities, such as dining areas, activity rooms, hairdressing facilities, shared gardens and treatment rooms which are used for activities like massage or chiropody. Some of our extra care schemes are also located near to community centres.

  • What level of care do we provide?

On-site care services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Each resident has a support worker and a written support plan.

The level of care we provide to each resident is flexible and depends on each individual's requirements and preferences, as well as their personal funding package.

  • What catering facilities do we provide?

We provide on-site catering and dining facilities. In some of our buildings, these facilities are also open to the public.

  • What activities can residents participate in?

Residents have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities, which may include barbecues and parties, arts and crafts, tai chi, yoga, gardening, trips and outings and resident meetings.
