Online courses for free for residents to complete from home.
A community centre for local people, includes a work centre drop-in for people with mental health problems; literacy & numeracy, ESOL & IT classes; an adventure playground, youth club; older people's lunch club & social group; a legal clinic (by appointment only); room hire and more.
Digi Buddies is an innovative IT peer support project to help local residents get online. The scheme recruits volunteers with strong IT skills to support residents with online activities such as setting up email accounts, applying for jobs, using social networking sites, and buying goods and services. Digi-buddies are located in community centres and libraries across the borough. Sessions are run on a drop-in basis that are freely available to all. "3" are offering free sessions to demystify the digital world. Bring in your device and they'll help you learn what the online world has to offer. Regular sessions include How to use: Whatsapp, Twitter, Apple products as well as general help in open sessions.
