Befriending is a lovely way for volunteers help our residents tackle loneliness while giving back to the community.
Find your local Age UK organisation and list of what they can help with. Every Age UK is run independently so the support they offer will vary.
Volunteering, counselling and linking young people to relevant services.
A young people's Counselling Service for 11 - 25 year olds who mainly live, study or work in Southwark and Lambeth. Young people can get help with issues such as education, training and employment
housing, money management, domestic and sexual abuse, family issues, stress and anger.
Intergenerational arts activities, including things for young people in Tower Hamlets. They also provide popular cocktail parties in care settings and artists in residencies in care settings.
South London Cares is a community network of young professionals and older neighbours and can support with delivering blankets and warm clothes to those feeling the cold, supporting people whose circumstances are particularly difficult with small financial grants, and helping people to access healthcare and connect them to organisations who can provide benefits and energy saving advice.
